José Samper I grew up in Colombia and studied mathematics at Universidad de los Andes. Then I landed in Seattle and obtained a PhD at the University of Washington under the supervision of Isabella Novik. This fall I will be on leave attending a thematic semester in ICERM as a postdoctoral fellow. My research is in algebraic, geometric and topological combinatorics. I am interested in polytopes and matroids and their appearance in diverse fields. |
