I am a differential geometer who is interested in mathematical relativity. I grew up in China and obtained my BS in Peking University in 1998. In 2003, I received my PhD at Stanford under the direction of Richard Schoen. During 2004 and early 2006, I did a postdoc at MSRI and UC Santa Barbara. In spring 2006, I relocated to Melbourne, Australia, and worked as a lecturer at Monash University. In fall 2010, I moved to Florida to join the faculty of the University of Miami. In 2012, I received tenure at UM.

I am very interested in geometric problems that are motivated by Einstein's theory of general relativity. My exposure to relativity offers me back strong motivation to understand geometry. I am grateful to have collaborated with many colleagues from whom I learn the joy of navigating among analysis, geometry and physics.

My research has been funded by Australian Research Council, Simons Foundation, and National Science Foundation.

In my free time, I am an enthusiastic fan of soccer and tennis.
