Nima Anvari
I graduated in 2013 from McMaster University, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Ian Hambleton. Following my graduation, I had the opportunity to work at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, as a visiting researcher, before returning to McMaster for a postdoctoral position.
My research interests are focused on low dimensional topology, particularly applications of gauge theory to the study of 3 and 4 manifolds. I have been studying finite group actions on smooth 4-manifolds using techniques from Yang-Mills moduli spaces. I'm currently working with Prof. Nikolai Saveliev here at the University of Miami.
