  • "Essential Calculus", Stewart 2nd Edition.

  Contents:

  • Chapters 5-9, chapters 5,6,8 will be fully covered and 7, 9 only partially.

  Attendance is mandatory.

• GRADING ELEMENTS:

  Webassign (30%), one Midterm (30%) and one final (40%).

  1-Homework (30%)

  The homework will be assigned and completed in WebAssign (http://www.webassign.net/). The homework will be posted every day and you should do it every day (otherwise you will not be able to do it since in the Summer session the material comes very fast). An accesscode for WebAssign is bundled with the new textbook purchased through the UM Bookstore.   2- Midterm (30%)

  There will NO MAKE UP midterms unless there is an OFFICIAL letter from the Dean of students with such request.

  Midterm: Monday, June 3rd

  4- Final (40%)

  The final exam will be cumulative. The date of the exam is fixed by the University and that date can not be changed. If you buy tickets for flights before that date it will be to your loss, so be careful!

  Final: Friday, June 21st

  Grade Scale:

  • (A-,A,A+): >90%
  • (B-,B,B+): 80-90%
  • (C-,C,C+): 70-80%
  • (D,D+): 60-70%
  • F: <60%
