& Fortune page.
Sometimes, in the course of long summer evenings, the friends would
take a stroll together in the Wild Wood, now successfully tamed so far as
they were concerned; and it was pleasing to see how respectfully they were
greeted by the inhabitants, and how the mother-weasels would bring their
young ones to the mouths of their holes, and say, pointing, "Look, baby!
There goes the great Mr. Toad!"
Disney's version of The Wind in the Willows, actually a
re-telling of their animated version of the story of "the madcap, the
reckless, extravagant, the fabulous Mr. Toad". For some reason the
motorcars say "Honk honk!" instead of "Poop-poop!" as they do in the
original, but it's bright and cheery with lots of pictures and a large
font. "You know, for kids."
Order these new and improved ABSOLUTELY FREE postcards for you
and your associates. Fill them out and send them in to two top Disney
honchos to let them know that you won't stand for any more of their
nonsense. (Over 13,000 of them were
distributed, but they're all gone now!)

for a limited time! Act fast if you want to score one!)

Haven't seen it, but I have seen it in video stores. Might be good.
Might suck. You just never know. Word on the street is that it's very
good, tho.

as Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
The movie has finally arrived in video stores, renamed Mr. Toad's
Wild Ride by Disney. The New York Times called it "an unequivocal
delight". Buy it here from amazon.com.
That's right, the entire right (and more weasel-intensive) side of The
Ride, captured on fuzzy, poorly auto-focussing video for your viewing
pleasure! This is in mpeg format, so be sure you can see that. And be
warned: This 16.6M file is not for those without patience and a beefy
Internet connection. It's big, but it's worth it!
A short description of the ride, plus some colorful pictures of
the ride's interior. Let's hope its proximity to the 20,000 Leagues
Tribute isn't any sort of foreshadowing.
E-ticket magazine. Learn how Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was built in
Disneyland and what changes it went through as it was being developed.

can get without being there.
An amusing story from Imagineer Ken Anderson on the making of Mr.
Toad's Wild Ride is available in RealAudio format, from the audio cassette
of Persistence of Vision Magazine's Third Issue.
